Roswell Dance Theatre presents The Nutcracker

Join us for a timeless holiday tradition! Gorgeous costumes, magical scenery, beloved music and exquisite dancing in this classic Nutcracker will delight guests of all ages. Travel with Clara and her Prince to the Land of Sweets where they are entertained by enchanting dancers from around the globe.

From November 29 to December 8, Roswell Dance Theatre is thrilled to return to Byers Theatre to present its revered rendition of The Nutcracker. In a classic interpretation beloved by Atlanta-area families, this cherished holiday tradition will once again be directed by local talents Nancy Tolbert Yilmaz and Mary Lynn Taylor.

As Clara’s dreams come to life, Herr Drosselmeier uses magic to transform the Nutcracker doll into a prince. Accompanied by her handsome escort, Clara enters a fantastical new world now taking shape about them. Clara and her Prince enter the Land of Snow...

At the conclusion of the festivities, Clara and her Prince are bid a happy farewell as the dancers wave goodbye to the fantasies that must fade away with her dream. This reverie will await Clara’s return next Christmas – and she will always have her Nutcracker! 

The talented cast includes world-class artists who have danced both nationally and internationally, alongside aspiring young professionals from Roswell Dance Theatre, the performing company of the Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance.  

The 10-show run opens Friday, November 29 and continues through Sunday, December 8.  Special performance opportunities include Character Meet & Greets with autographs and photos, a visit with Santa (reservation required) as well as Girl Scout troop options and an RDT Alumni reception. To commemorate the shows, there is an extensive Nutcracker-themed gift boutique where audience members of all ages will find the perfect souvenir.
