Each month celebrated pianist Joe Alterman brings along his favorite musical guests for a one-of-a-kind jazz brunch, blending smooth live performances with unscripted, talk show-style interviews that go behind the music.

Special Guest, October 25: Jonathan Karrant is an acclaimed jazz vocalist whose album On and On reached No. 4 on the Billboard Jazz Charts, while his live recording Live climbed to No. 2 on the iTunes Jazz Charts. Throughout his career, he has received numerous honors, including the New York City Jazz Honors, the Bravo California Award for Best Singer, and recognition by DownBeat as one of the Top 10 Rising Jazz Vocalists.
His contributions to jazz have been further recognized through his induction into the Arkansas Jazz Heritage Hall of Fame and the presentation of the Limelight Award from the UNLV College of Fine Arts. Karrant has recorded and collaborated with celebrated artists including Diane Schuur, Jane Monheit, Houston Person, Tamir Hendelman, and Joe Alterman.
With a repertoire that spans classic jazz standards and contemporary interpretations, Karrant brings a modern elegance to the timeless genre of jazz. He doesn’t cover song, he uncovers them.
