The event will feature three vibrant spaces: Byers Theatre, the Byers Theatre Lobby, and City Green.

Byers Theatre - "From Africa to America"

Sandy Springs proudly introduces "From Africa to America," an exhilarating live production celebrating Juneteenth. Directed, produced, and choreographed by local business visionaries Antwan Sessions and Shervoski Moreland of Namari Dance Center & Namari Productions, this show tells the timeless tale of resilience, struggle, and triumph that resonates with us all. Immerse yourself in the pulsating rhythms of African drums and dance, get swept away by the captivating melodies of our skilled musicians and singers, and be moved by the profound words of our passionate poets and community leaders.

Byers Lobby - LIQUID Arts & Productions' Immersive Art Exhibition and Experience

Sandy Springs collaborates with LIQUID Arts & Productions to present an immersive Art Exhibition and Experience, centered on the creativity of high school students from both Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. This event, in celebration of Juneteenth, will feature interactive digital artworks. Guided by the artistic vision of PeQue, these youth-produced canvas pieces will incorporate Augmented Reality, offering guests the opportunity to engage with innovative displays. Furthermore, the students will collectively work on a large mural-sized masterpiece, which will be highlighted as the exhibition’s centerpiece.
