Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center’s Byers Theatre
The Byers Theatre is the primary performance space in the center. The theatre features excellent sight lines, with seating for 1,070 on three levels including box seats. Superb acoustics, a full orchestra pit, and fly loft make the theatre an ideal venue for a variety of performance events. The theatre’s state-of-the-art performance technology offers a robust lighting inventory and a cinema-quality 4K projector and screen. The back-of-house includes green rooms, dressing rooms, and a 1,300 square foot (sf) Rehearsal Room. The 6,100 square-foot glass enclosed Main Lobby can also function as a gallery or venue for receptions. The full-service CityBar.adjoining the Main Lobby and Studio Theatre boasts a 7’ x 16’ video wall. The Park View Lounge offers more intimate event space off of the main lobby.
The Studio Theatre is a 5,000-sf flexible space that can be configured to serve the community as a meeting space, a venue for small performances, or a location for corporate meetings and banquet-style events. The room can comfortably hold 300-350 people for seated events, and also features excellent acoustics, a full lighting grid, a sprung floor, and other technologies. The 2,730 sf Studio Theatre Lobby provides pre-function space for the Studio Theatre. Outfitted with a 11’ x 20’ video wall and a lighting grid, it can also accommodate small events and receptions. The City Green at the heart of the City Springs contains ample green space for events and impromptu picnics. Shaded areas are planned for a quiet game of chess or a good book, or simply a good vantage point to people watch. The Green boasts a number of water features inspired by the springs that give the City of Sandy Springs its name, including gateway entrances and an interactive fountain for kids to play in. The walkway through the 4-acre City Green features a water wall and shade Bosque, creating an inviting and dynamic feature for residents as they enjoy a leisurely stroll. A permanent stage will provide space for outdoor concerts. Pets are welcome along the perimeter of City Springs, but to keep the lawn and surrounding pavilion picnic and child-friendly, pets are not permitted.
The Conference Center offers a variety of spaces to accommodate meetings by civic, community, and corporate groups. Five Meeting Rooms of varying size with digital display boards and audio/video connections are available. The 4,830 sf Terrace Meeting Room features a projector and screen, audio/video connections, and moveable walls that allow the room to be divided into thirds to provide flexible capacity. The adjacent City View Terrace overlooking the City Green will offer guests compelling views of City Springs and beyond, with external audio speakers, and a decorative water wall. Heritage Sandy Springs
Comprised of an event space, museum, natural springs and gardens, Heritage Sandy Springs brings a relaxing respite to the hustle and bustle of the city and has been a gathering spot for festivals, concerts and educational programming. The museum is located within an 1869 plain style farmhouse and has rotating exhibits, along with one permanent exhibit displaying the history of Sandy Springs. The venue offers rentals available for weddings, reunions, parties, rehearsal dinners, company picnics, business meetings and retreats.
