The Sandy Springs Foundation has named Emily Hutmacher as Executive Director of the nonprofit organization focused on arts-related programming within the city. Hutmacher brings to the position more than 20 years of experience in business development, foundation and donor relations, and strategic partnerships.
“Emily has an impressive background in philanthropy with a successful record in building capital campaigns, program funding, and annual giving, with most of her experience in the Atlanta area. The Board looks forward to her insight and leadership as we generate funding sources to enhance arts programming in Sandy Springs,” said Sandy Springs Foundation Chair Ken Byers.
Hutmacher comes to the Sandy Springs Foundation from Emory Johns Creek Hospital where she served as Director of Development. She worked in a similar capacity at Piedmont Healthcare Foundation and with Visiting Nurse Health System/Hospice Atlanta, both located in the metro area. Her experience includes staff and volunteer management, project management, board engagement and community relations.
Hutmacher has a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Rice University. She begins her role as Executive Director in February.
