City Springs becomes the new home to the Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market

Beginning Saturday, May 12, 2018, City Springs will become the new home for the Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market, marking the occasion by introducing the community to the new Executive Chef at City Springs.

Chef Rodney Martin brings more than 30 years of high-profile dining, catering, corporate dining, and special events experience to City Springs. Martin has worked in such notable hotels and restaurants as Dominique’s Fine French Restaurant in South Beach Miami, the Waldorf Astoria Boca Raton Resort,  Legendary Events Catering in Atlanta, Morehouse University, and most recently, the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Chef Martin will oversee all catering and event menus for meetings and events in the Conference Center at City Springs, the Studio Theatre and Byers Theatre, as well as CityBar.

Visitors to the Farmers Market on May 12th will have the opportunity to shop the market with Chef Martin and then watch as he creates a “Market to Table” dish they can go home and make that evening! Shopping the market with Chef Martin will start at 8:30 a.m. and the cooking demonstration will start at 10:00 a.m.

The move of the Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market brings the market back to its original roots.  The Market was founded in 2010, and originally located in the parking lot which today is home to City Springs. The Market will locate along Mt Vernon Highway, between Bluestone Road and Galambos Way (220 Mt Vernon Highway).  Ample parking will be available to guests in the City Springs Parking Deck, the South Lot (at the corner of Bluestone Road and Mt Vernon Highway), or via street parking throughout City Springs. The first two hours of parking are free in the City Springs parking deck, while the South Lot and street parking are free until 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market is open every Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and features an abundance of fresh, local, and organic produce, along with pasture-raised meat and pork products, farm fresh eggs and dairy products, and a wide variety of specialty and prepared foods.
